FYI - stamps not fun

Yeah, by the way, making "S" and "J" stamps is not a fun job.  Good thing Chris wants to do it!  I have NO patience for it!

Bitch Session

Good times were had by all yesterday at the 5th annual SNAP (spay and neuter assistance program) golf tournament.  It didn't rain until the very end (although it did sprinkle a little, but at that time the wet weather was welcome!)  As usual I sucked, but I had fun.  And, considering I haven't picked up a club since last year I should be happy I hit the ball at all!

Mom and Dad left today for vacation.  Wish I was going on it, too!  God I need to get away!  I need a break so bad!  At least I don't have to work Saturdays anymore.  Chris on the other hand, I feel bad for.  Still all work all the time.  And I'd give anything for a whole week w/no rain.

I did have this titled SNAP Golf Tournament, but I just changed it to Bitch Session.  Should I go get some cheese to go w/my w(h)ine?

Oh, one good thing.  I was getting sooooooo sick of my hair.  I was feeling so frumpy and yuckie, I made myself a hair appt.  I took my tiara w/me and told her if she could do something w/it w/short hair to chop it off again.  SO, that's what she did.  Man I missed my short hair!!!

Well, last weekend we went to the Blues Traveler concert.  It was really good.  The new songs sound pretty good, although I couldn't catch every word.  I love outdoor concerts.  I love watching the people.  They sure do come out of the woodwork!

The wedding plans are coming along really well.  Everything (besides the rings, funny enough) is ordered.  I have one portion of the bridesmaids gifts to get & we need to get the groomsmen's gift.  

I'll tell you what is NOT fun......table seating.  It's like a freaking jigsaw puzzle.  Who to sit w/who - - these people don't really get along w/this person.  Oi, I'll tell ya.  I've almost got it done, there are a couple "up in the air" people.  So if they are invited.....I'll have to start all over. 

Today is Missy's baby shower.  She's getting HUGE.  She looks like she is going to pop - - or drop the babies as she's walking.  When we went there last weekend I felt them move.  The big boob that I am I teared up a lot.  Pregnancy is amazing.

Same ol' Same ol'

Well, these past few days have been unremarkable.  Work has been FINALLY slowing down.  I've gotten out on time the majority of the week.  Which that hasn't happened since March.....

The wedding purchases are going well.  This weekend I have to look for things to make stamps.  I got the muslin bags in for the wedding favors.  What I've decided to do is a smaller, light "S" and a bigger, darker "J" in gaelic style lettering.  That should be fun.  I also have to order the stupid ribbon (I keep forgetting this essential piece - seeing as how it's being shipped from Scotland, I'd better get going).  

Not too much more.  Bit boring, but that's okay.  Sometimes boring is good!!

Wow - 6 months already

Well, guess it' s been a while since I've written.  Tanya yelled at me a while  ago, but I've been extremely busy.  *sigh* 

Anyhew, a LOT has happened since Dec 27th!  Chris did finally propose!  Yay me (cue band...).  We went to visit Tanya in NYC and he popped the question in Central Park.  It was the day before my birthday.  Turns out he had the ring in his pocket the whole time we were there.  I would have been a wreck if I were him. 

The wedding plans are going great.  Everything is going smooth.  So far no snags (but I probably just jinxed us).  My dress is BEAUTIFUL!  It's not white.  It's the MacKenzie tartan.  Turns out it's 2 pieces - a courset top and  a long skirt bottom.  Now I don't have to worry about not having straps at the reception because that baby isn't coming down for anything.  

I almost took another job.  I put my notice in and everything.  I decided to stay last minute.  I love my job too much.  The main reason for me leaving is no longer there at work, and things have been going great.  Work hasn't been this pleasant in YEARS.  So it's nice.

Well, that's it for the major updates.  I'll try to keep up with this now that things are slowing down a bit.

Computers computers computers

My computer started running slow.  Me being me, I want answers now.  I've been searching for macbook pro stuff, finally found something to try so keep your fingers crossed that it works!

On a side note, Running With Scissors is an awesome movie.  I loved it.  Very dry weird humor, sort of like Royal Tennenbaums.  It made me laugh out loud several times.  

Merry Christmas!

Well, it's finally here (and almost gone).  What a great day!  We got up this am and went to the Mitchell's for breakfast and to watch the kids open the presents (kids really do make the holiday's!).  Then we went to Lee & Stef's for brunch/dinner and played Guitar Hero and played Scrabble (Lori kicked our asses!).  Oh, we also did a puzzle.  Lee and Stef got the Mitchell's a custom puzzle made of a picture taken when we did our Amish day (don't ask) of the 4 of them standing in front of the barn.  That was a bitch to do because of all of the red in the barn.  What a good idea, though.  I'm thinking that would be a good thing to do for our Thanksgiving puzzle.

I'll tell ya, I can't wait to get my engagement ring, I keep having dreams I'm getting it, then I have to wake up to the realization that - no, I don't have it yet.  Chris said that I'll have it in the next couple of weeks but I'd be lying if I didn't say I want it now.  I guess patience is a virtue.  That's what they say.

Well, back to work tomorrow.  Slave to the grind.  Oh woe is me.
